Do not be afraid, God`s our shield

God is our shield and very great reward. As God promises Abraham, God himself was Abraham`s treasure. These comforting and covenantal words (Genesis 15:1) are not only for only for Abraham but also for every one of us, who are called by God.

God assured in a vision that He was Abraham`s shield and reward. The incredible thing is that Abraham believed god. It is this faith in God which was counted for righteousness. Faith and righteousness are counted together.

God wants all of us to have this kind of faith in our lives as Abraham possessed. Our hearts must be turned toward God in an enduring trust, Obedience and submission; we must have a right relationship to God and His Will. This is the foundation for our spiritual life.

Don`t fear when you are called like Abraham, just believe in the Word of God though you have nothing at hand, you will be blessed with everything. You are going to have countless descendants. God is your trust, your shield, protector, and who cares.
